Pros:
Easy windows management, multitasks are easier, requires less hefty hardware, domain access, Media Center
Cons:
Can be expensive if not a student.

Pros:
Use hardware you had for Vista. More stable than Vista. As little as $30 for students.
Cons:
Can't always upgrade from previous versions of Windows. Installer sometimes looks frozen.
The Bottom Line:
Great, stable OS with actual WindowsXP compatability. "So easy my parents could install it - no drivers required!"

Pros:
Attractive new-practical Interface, fast load, software/hardware compatibility and low resource usage, overall very nice!
Cons:
UAC remotely disabled without notifying user. Still some software compatibility-issue.
The Bottom Line:
Windows 7 is sure to please both XP and Vista users: Software compatibility and reasonable hardware resource requirement. Bottom line, Windows 7 is very good.
